1. Tariff increases
After due consideration by each individual Medical Schemes’ Board of Trustees, the following tariff
increases will apply to the Medscheme-administered schemes listed below. These increases will
come into effect as of 1 January 2017.

2. Scheme option changes effective 1 January 2017
FEDHEALTH
- Fedhealth has introduced three new options namely, the Maxima SaverGRID, Maxima BasisGRID
and Maxima CoreGRID.
- Ultima 200 has undergone a name change and is now called the Maxima Advanced option. The
membership numbers will remain the same.BONITAS
- Bonitas has introduced three new options namely, the BonComplete, Hospital Plus and
Hospital Standard options.
- There is a list of 14 hospitals that will attract a 30% member co-payment on the hospital admission. This will be applicable
to all Bonitas options excluding the BonCap, BonFit and Standard Select options which are subject to their option specific
hospital networks. Please login to www.medscheme.com for a list of these hospitals prior to referring your Bonitas patient
to a Specialist to assist in alleviating out of pocket expenses.
