It has been announced that EMC (Emerging Market Healthcare) won its appeal on 19 December 2011 against the May 2011 decision by the CMS to suspend their accreditation. As result of this and in terms of the Medical Schemes Act, EMC therefor remains accredited as a managed care organisation and proceeds with its business as usual.
