Edcon Medical Aid will be amalgamating with Discovery Health Medical Scheme from 1 January 2012
We want to let you know that the members of Edcon Medical Scheme will move to the Discovery Health Medical Scheme from 1 January 2012.
Claim submission information
· Claims with a service date from 1 January 2012
Please start sending claims through Discovery Health Medical Scheme using these members’ new Discovery Health Medical Scheme membership numbers. They will receive their cards by mid December.
· Claims with a service date before 1 January 2012
All claims with a service date up to 31 December must be routed to the Edcon Medical Scheme.
You have four months (until the end of April 2012) to send claims with a service date up to 31 December 2011 to the Edcon Medical Scheme. After this, they will not pay any claims.
Edcon Medical Scheme will not accept any claims with service dates from 1 January 2012.

Hi. I was with Edcon medical aid till May 1996. My new medical aid is requesting my membership number. Is it possible to send to me.
